Description:

Based on Antonin Artaud’s text, A Spurt of Blood reimagines theatrical violence and desire through an entirely sonic space. The sound design replaces physical action with abrupt sonic gestures, disembodied voices, and unstable atmospheres that fracture narrative continuity. By treating sound as both stage and body, the work foregrounds sensation over representation, allowing meaning to emerge through intensity, interruption, and the collapse of linear time.
